Maynard, MA

Took these off my card today. I’ve mentioned a few times that I’m trying to see more of what is in my back yard, trying to do more seeing where I’ve become inured. Inspired by a loved one, I’m trying simultaneously to lean in on their observation that I photograph light while also trying to channel their superpower of photographing color. And maybe I’m a little in love with Eggleston right now?

  1. I love that yellow door. And that the window shades aren’t quite even in the yellow-door house’s windows.

  2. I found a calendar one year of photographs around NYC, bit the odd fare. Even the odd fare must be easy to do in NYC. I took inspiration from it and kept any eye out for unique things here in my own space. Two of my favorites are an open semi truck with a load of pitatoes driving around the square of the city and one of a car painted in hop vines. I’ll have to go revive that album. Not even sure where it is.
