About

I’m a hobby boat builder, paddler, and photographer.

As a photographer, I’m an utter beginner. I picked up my camera in the winter of 2020 so I can experiment with how I relate to my surroundings, as I’ve noticed that my photographer friends see things I don’t, and I want to develop that sense. I believe that a camera in my hand might slow me down, and that it certainly would change how I move through wilderness spaces. I want to see what that’s like.

As I continue to practice the mechanics of photography, as well as the art of composition, I’m highly solicitous of feedback, especially critical. If you want to say something about a photograph you see here, please use the contact form linked above, or add a comment on the relevant post.

For those who are interested, I’m using a Sony a6300 with the Sony 10 – 18mm and 18 – 135mm, and the Sigma 200 – 400mm.
