Miller’s River

I revisited Miller’s river this past weekend. The last time I tried to photograph it I was barely functional in the 10 degree F weather. Five more degrees meant I could use my fingers without severe pain this time. Plus, the first time I was there I hadn’t been able to find my dry pants. This time I had them, so I could get out into the water. Though my wading boots iced over, so walking back to the car I had to chip an inch off the bottom or I’d feel like I was walking on platforms. So here’s a spot I returned to, because I didn’t like that I couldn’t really think about my composition last time. I produced two comps of this tree, and this is the one I like best.

I drove back and forth between this bend in the river and the bridge in Erving. It was neat to see how these two spots lit up at different times.
