Northfield, MA

I’ve traveled to Northfield a few times over the last several weeks. I love the trip along Rt. 2 across the north / middle of Massachusetts through farms and mountains along the course of Miller’s River to the Connecticut, through a procession of small towns, decrepit bridges, and collapsing barns stuck among manufacturing and treatment plants. Veering off of 2 there are mountain trails with vistas. The NET runs through here. I’m looking forward to spending much more time out this way to discover more of this area.
