Mt. Misery

Today’s morning hike with friends yielded very little. There were some compositions that should have worked but didn’t, and there are several spots I’d like to revisit. I kept meaning to go out there while there was still snow on the ground but just didn’t. I think this is a case of needing to spend some time getting to know those woods, and then I’ll find my favorite spots to photograph in all the changing seasons.

This tree might be one of those… if it weren’t for the fencing, which looks hokey, but maybe isn’t there in the snow? We’ll see.

And I don’t know what super clever person made this ice sculpture, which consisted of placing a bunch of flowers upside down in a bucket of water to freeze, but I’m going to call it genius

And this one… this one needs some fog in there. As it is, it’s a study in getting your eyes crossed, which I think is super fun.
